Overview

In a typical OTT deployment, substance takes ebu-tt live subtitles from websocket and pulls a DASH or HLS stream.

It muxes subtitles into the appropriate format, updates the media playlist and pushes everything to your CDN.

Substance is fast and leightweight live subtitle inserter, it does not decode/transcode your content, resulting in low infrastructure cost.
